The US Indo-Pacific Command funded the construction of a kindergarten in Quang Tri

As informed by the Department of Foreign Affairs, the US Indo-Pacific Command (formerly the US Pacific Command) has just signed a memorandum of understanding with the province on cooperation in the project implementation of construction of Trieu Dai kindergarten, Trieu Phong district.

For the project implementation, the US Indo-Pacific Command will support about 350,000 - 550,000 USD. The exact total cost will be determined after the project is completed and handed over and put into use. The project will be awarded in September 2021, and be expected to start construction in the fourth quarter of 2021 and be completed in the fourth quarter of 2022. The project objective is to improve the capacity providing essential educational services to local people.

It is known that, the construction project of Trieu Dai kindergarten is the result of efforts to connect and work between the Department of Foreign Affairs and the Office of Defense Cooperation of the US Embassy in Vietnam, which is the representative agency of US Indo-Pacific Command. Previously, due to some policy changes, the connection of the two sides was temporarily interrupted. After its efforts, the Department of Foreign Affairs has received a letter of notification of funding for the construction of the above mentioned project from the Fund for Humanitarian Assistance, Disaster and Foreign Community of the US Indo-Pacific Command.

Previously, the US Indo-Pacific Command has supported the province to build and repair many other projects such as: Cua Viet Town Secondary School (Gio Linh District), Cua Tung Town Secondary School (Vinh Linh District). Linh), Hai Son Secondary School, Hai Que Commune Health Station (Hai Lang District), Quang Tri Provincial Center for Disaster Prevention and Mitigation, etc ... Total cost of US Indo-Pacific Command funding for projects in the province is more than 2.45 million USD.
